Meiotic was born out of an idea hatched in early 2002 by a group of Chicago-based music enthusiasts looking to provide a presentation platform for artists using electronic music as their preferred creative medium. With our musical tastes rooted in the classic dancefloor sounds of Chicago & Detroit, and taking influence from creative urban culture centers the world over (NYC, London, Germany, Japan-we’re looking at you), our programming accordingly reflects these leaning by featuring internationally renowned artists alongside established and rising Chicago talent.
